HLA Preparatory Requirements
HLA Prep’s primary method of communication is through email. It is important that the email address on your application belongs to the parent/guardian, is current, and is one that you check often. We do not recommend HLA Prep for families that do not have regular, even daily, access to internet and email.

  • Students must reside in Florida with intention of playing competitive sports*.
  • Students must provide proof of immunizations and a health exam for sports purposes.
  • Parents must have internet and their own valid email address that is checked regularly.
  • Re-enroll annually by August 1 or by the time school begins in your area.
  • Report grades and attendance twice a year in Applecore. (January 15 and June 15)
  • Enter an Education Plan in Applecore for upcoming school year by August 1.
  • Parents/guardians must have at least a high school diploma or GED**.

High School Students must be in good academic standing with no disciplinary issues from the previous school. If you are unsure, please contact our office before applying.
Legal Documentation – please read our policies regarding account holders (parent, legal guardian, etc), account access and records requests for non-account holders.
Testing is optional.
HLA Prep families must provide immunization records and a health exam which would already be required for playing sports in the public schools.  Click here for information about immunizations.
*Parents/guardians not meeting the high school diploma or GED requirement, can call for more information.
Students and Parent-teachers must agree to our Code of Conduct which is acknowledged in our application.
